Wiverco delivery T 7.300

Thursday, August 7, 2025

We recently delivered a new T 7.300 Next Gen to Wiverco. Below is the article from deLoonwerker.

Wim Vermeiren's contracting business is located in Wortel, Antwerp. Under the name Wiverco, he takes care of the grass and maize harvest for many customers within a radius of fifty kilometres around his business. The company's latest purchase is a yellow New Holland T 7.300. The completely redesigned top model from the T7 long-wheelbase series has three hundred horsepower. In addition to the company's own colour, Vermeiren has had a few changes made: top lights, air horns, wide tyres and an overpressure unit. According to Vermeiren, these modifications make the T 7.300 a little more complete.

Wiverco has been using two brands of tractors for years: Fendt and New Holland. When two Fendt tractors reach the end of their service life, Vermeiren decides to trade them in. Ultimately, a stock tractor is purchased from Luyckx NV in Brecht. ‘Luyckx is always there for us, whether it's in the middle of the night or on a Sunday afternoon,’ says Vermeiren. ‘We hadn't bought a tractor from the dealer for a long time. That's why we decided to buy this New Holland.’ But the increasingly stringent emission standards in the city centre of Antwerp also played a role in the decision to make this purchase.

The only thing that needed to be changed after the purchase was the colour. ‘Two years ago, Wim said he wanted the new machines to be sprayed in the yellow colour of the logo. This hadn't happened yet with this New Holland, but now it has,’ says Hermine Caenen, the lady of the house. In recent years, two VGM silage tippers, two Dezeure silage trailers and the BECO soil tipper have been ordered in yellow.

In addition to the yellow two-component paint, Vermeiren had the entire tractor sprayed with clear lacquer. The rims were also given a coat of clear lacquer. ‘I consider this necessary because the New Holland will mainly be used for earthworks,’ says Vermeiren. ‘We are increasingly driving on contaminated soil, which eats away at the paint. It would be a shame to allow that to happen.’ Because Vermeiren has equipped most of its three-axle soil dumpers with valves, it is increasingly being asked to transport contaminated soil. There is also growing demand for machines and tractors with pressurised cabs. That is why Vermeiren has decided to equip the New Holland with all the necessary features.

Vermeiren finds the new Horizon Ultra cab impressive. With an exceptionally low noise level of only 66 dBA, the cab is one of the quietest on the market. New Holland has created more space for the driver and integrated more storage space. In addition, the driver has better visibility thanks to the larger glass surface. The newly developed Sidewinder Ultra armrest puts all the necessary functions within easy reach of the driver. The armrest can be adjusted to create an optimal ergonomic working environment. The new IntelliVieuw 12 monitor shows the driver all the information he needs at that moment.

For the most part, the New Holland will have a permanent driver. ‘We should actually say female driver,’ laughs Vermeiren. His wife will mainly be driving the new tractor. It will usually be coupled to a soil dumper or silage wagon. ‘But if the New Holland is on a construction site, it will probably stay there until the work is completed,’ says the owner.

The contracting company from Wortel specialises in mowing, raking and chopping grass. Chopping maize is also no problem. They also carry out earthmoving work. Wim Vermeiren employs permanent staff, but during busy periods he also hires the necessary self-employed workers and subcontractors.
