Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV has introduced a new app that enables customers to manage their machines remotely using their smartphones or mobile devices. Designed to complement Hitachi’s Global e-Service monitoring system, the ConSite Pocket app has been developed with owners in mind, and features a user-friendly interface and easy navigation.
Customers can use the new app to download monthly ConSite reports for their Hitachi machines, including data on daily working hours and fuel consumption. They can compare previous months’ reports, and keep up to date with their machines’ operational performance.
The new app can pinpoint the exact location of every Hitachi excavator and wheel loader in a customer’s fleet using Google Maps. Owners can also keep track of their machines’ status on site from anywhere at any time – real-time alerts are sent to them and their local dealers, who can act immediately if a situation requires urgent attention. The app supplies manufacturer recommendations on what course of action to take and step-by-step guides to follow for certain issues.
