Hitachi has presented a new concept excavator at bauma: the LANDCROS One. With it, the manufacturer wants to show what is possible in the future.

The LANDCROS One features the latest gadgets. Integrated AI takes over routine tasks and provides the operator with intelligent support for complex work. The machine is fully remote-controllable from around the world and can automatically perform simple tasks independently. The machine can run electric, diesel or hydrogen.

The design features a modular cab, developed to appeal to the younger generation of workers through gamification of controls and AI-assisted interfaces. Hitachi calls the approach ‘phygital’, a contraction of physical and digital.
