Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV and KTEG introduced the KTEG 390HR-7 high-reach excavator at Bauma.
The KTEG 390HR-7 features a fixed boom with a 23 m reach and can handle a 3.5-tonne attachment, leading its weight class in productivity.
The machine incorporates a Hitachi ZX350 upper structure, Zaxis-7 technology, and a Stage V-compliant engine, designed for modern demolition sites.
It includes a 5.1-tonne additional counterweight, a hydraulic extendable undercarriage, and a stable footprint for efficient demolition.
Safety features include side impact protection, a demolition-spec cab with FOPS guard level 2, high-spec P5A safety glass, and a 270-degree bird’s-eye view camera system.
The KTEG 390HR-7 was developed by KTEG GmbH, a joint venture between Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd and Kiesel Technologie Entwicklung GmbH.
To meet the growing demand for innovative demolition solutions in Europe, capable of boosting productivity, Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) and KTEG present the KTEG 390HR-7 at Bauma.
The uncompromising high-reach excavator is adapted with a fixed boom that provides a 23 m reach. It can be used with a 3.5-tonne attachment including quick coupler, which makes it the leading machine in its weight class. The outstanding tool weight on this height level increases the machine’s productivity and provides an opportunity to complete demolition jobs faster and more efficiently.
Incorporating a Hitachi ZX350 standard upper structure, with Zaxis-7 technology and a Stage V-compliant engine, the KTEG 390HR-7 has been specially designed in response to the needs of modern demolition job sites. The machine is supplied with 5.1-tonne additional counterweight for a 360° working range and has a hydraulic extendable undercarriage. The working width of 4.3 m and the effective length of 4.0 m provide an almost square footprint (4,3 m x 4,0 m) in operation for stable and productive demolition. The overall width can be retracted to 3.0 m, ensuring easy and cost-effective transportation with a total weight of less than 50 tonnes.
To ensure the safety of operators, the machine has side impact protection and a demolitionspec cab with FOPS guard level 2 and high-spec P5A safety glass. Safety is also enhanced by the exceptional visibility from the tilting cab and the 270-degree bird’s-eye view provided by the Aerial Angle camera system.
“The KTEG 390HR-7 shows how we are addressing specific demolition industry requirements, delivering a model with best-in-class performance features,” says Harald Thum, KTEG Managing Director. “We are constantly listening to the needs of our customers, particularly regarding improvements to productivity, safety and efficiency on demolition sites.”
