On the move: Continued expansion sees move for Kubota Distribution Centre

Kubota has confirmed that its state-of-the-art European Distribution Centre will be moving to brand new premises in the Dutch city of Weert.

The 62,000m2 facility will serve as a hub for Kubota’s continental operations, with the transition expected to take 12 months to complete. As part of the move, Kubota will continue to work in close partnership with global supply chain specialist Broekman Logistics, the machinery manufacturer’s long-term haulage supplier.

The significant investment made by Kubota into the new distribution centre goes beyond its leading-edge facilities. The business will also be investing in the workforce of the facility, with plans to increase the operational and management team.

Mikio Taguchi, President Baumaschinen GmbH and Executive Vice President Business Unit CE Europe at Kubota Holdings Europe B.V said: “The move to a brand-new distribution facility in The Netherlands is a major step forward for Kubota. The exciting expansion represents a prolonged, sizable investment in operations from the business, and will help us not only further improve our current service offering, but increase the satisfaction of dealers, distributors and, ultimately, end customers.”
